DigitalOcean’s official website featured an in-depth take on RouteTrust – which reviewed the relationship between the two companies.

Russell Bierschbach cofounded RouteTrust in 2015, and built a million dollar on-premises data center and custom network to service his clients. Although this covered his current clientele, he wanted to scale up to reach more customers. Expanding further through buying more servers wouldn’t be cost-effective, and unwieldy to maintain.

Instead, he embraced the cloud and approached DigitalOcean. This allowed him to rent high-performance machines on demand. RouteTrust then deployed all of their software, and noticed the cloud server operated even better than the extravagant custom network they had built…
